Wild swans (Arabic Book)

"Wild Swans" by Jung Chang combines the intimacy of memoir and the epic nature of a novel to tell the story of three women: Jung Chang's grandmother, born in 1909 during the feudal period in China, who was given as a concubine to a warlord and his generals, unable to escape her fate until 1932 when the warlord was about to die. Her daughter, who grew up in Manchuria under both Japanese and Russian occupation. When the civil war broke out between the Nationalists and the Communists, she joined the secret resistance and risked her life to smuggle secrets to the Communists, but was eventually arrested.
