Scientists either scream about the impending environmental catastrophe or seize the opportunity for reckless genetic experiments. The animal kingdom silently retreats in eerie silence. The thesis of this book is that we may not have hit rock bottom yet, but are on the precipice of something worse. Our chance of survival may be slim, but there's still a possibility that future generations can escape the consequences of capitalism if we confront the realistic nature of the coming nightmare.
