The Joke (Arabic Book)

"The Joke," Kundera's first novel, is undoubtedly one of his most famous works. It features four interconnected characters, each telling their story from their own perspective.
Everything begins with a joke on a postcard sent by a young man to a girl he was trying to impress. This joke, misinterpreted, turns against him, resulting in his expulsion from the party and being banned from continuing his studies. He is then sent as a soldier to a disciplinary battalion that houses enemies of the regime.
