French prisoner (Arabic Book)

The French envoy, Pierre Gobert, finds himself a captive in Bayezid, imprisoned on the orders of its ruler, Mahmoud Pasha. This happens during his journey from France to Iran to meet with its Shah on an official mission assigned by Napoleon. No one knew about his predicament except for the jailer, Mahmoud Aga, and his family. They extended compassionate hands to him, shielding him from the wrath of the Pasha, and provided him with the strength and materials to write the memoirs of a man who witnessed significant historical events. Gobert feared that his story would be erased from history, but fate had a different plan, revealing another purpose.
