Our problem has never been commitment or negligence. Our problem has always been and still is extremism in one of two directions - the concept of staying in the middle. We have not mastered dealing with it until now. We have become extreme in generosity, leading to extravagance and wastefulness. We have become extreme in giving advice, turning it into intimidation and fear.
